I would like to formally commend the College Republicans at the University of Washington for the work you do to cultivate strong student activism here on our campus. The student voice is too often overlooked and I am proud to see the steps the College Republicans have taken to make your voice heard. Through tabling efforts, banners in Red Square and articles in The Daily, I have seen you become a recognized and respected student organization that continues to promote its core values.
Once thought of as a dying club, you have taken the Chapter to a new level and injected much needed enthusiasm, dedication and vision. As a result of your involvement and leadership, your chapter has grown from a gathering of six to a room of forty. Your leadership board is active and I commend you for the multiple events you put on weekly.
The College Republicans have always been considered a minority voice here on the UW Campus, but you have challenged that this year showing not only an increase in the number of active College Republicans, but also putting on heavily attended campus-wide events. I appreciate the work you do with our ASUW Commissions in bringing in speakers that show the diversity of your club and party.
I commend the College Republicans at the University of Washington for their involvement in the campus community and the continuation of programs that challenge the preconceived stereotypes many have. You offer a different take on current affairs often overlooked by our media and community and our campus is better for it.
Keep up the great work!

President
